Carey Mission School



Baptist missionary, Isaac McCoy, his family, and 18 students left Fort Wayne and settled on the St. Joseph river, near the present-day city of Niles, Michigan in December 1822. There Rev. McCoy founded the Carey Mission. The Mission school was opened on 27 Jan 1824.
