Chaw-shaw-waw-nay-beece/Shaw-shaw-waw-nay-beece, also known as James Peters, was said to be born about 1833 to parents unknown. His parents were most likely members of Chief Pay shaw se gay's band. 

James / Shaw-shaw-waw-nay beece married prior to 1859.

Son John was said to be born 14 Mar 1880 in Manistee. More about John here.

Daughter Elizabeth married Peter Espiew on 12 Apr 1894 in Ludington, Mason, Michigan. Her name was gived as Elizabeth Bennet, age 32, daughter of James Peters and Sarah Barnhart, married once before. 

Daughter Mary died 5 May 1894. Her age was given as 15, cause of death as consumption, parents were James and Sarah Peters.

Son Daniel died 12 Apr 1889 in Hamlin, Mason, Michigan. His age was given as 23, cause of death as consumption, parents were James and Sarah Peters.

Both James and Sarah died before Nov 1891 when daughter Elizabeth was guardian of siblings Mary and John.

Daughter Elizabeth died on 24 Sep 1905 in Grant, Mason, Michigan. Her date of birth was given as 27 Jan 1856, parents as Jim Peters and Mary Barnhart. She was married, the mother of 3 children who were living. Cause of death was ovarian tumors. Burial in Victory town.
