Peter Ance c1837-1899

Peter Ance, was said to be born in 1837 in Engadine, Mackinac, Michigan. He was the oldest son of Jean Baptiste Ance and Therese Mednaqua.

Brother Mitchell/Michael/Saw-gaw-naw-quaw-do, was said to be born about 1848 in Cheboygan.

Brother Louis was said to be born in Sep 1849 on Beaver Island

Sister Angelina was born 2 Feb 1852 in Eagletown/Peshawbestown

Brother Joseph was said to be born about 1855


Peter was married to Marie Tibagijigokwe, daughter of Dominic Windigowsih and Josette Awagins, on 11 Nov 1857 at the Catholic Church in Eagletown. 

Son Simon was born 8 Nov 1858, and baptised at the Catholic Church in Eagletown on 28 Nov 1858.
