The Michigan Marriages database 1822-1995 at FamilySearch.org has John Peters, 23, b. Hamlin, son of Jim Peters, married Eliza, 21, b. Grand Haven, daughter of Albert Richards on 18 May 1903 in Grant, Mason county. It probably should be daughter of Richard Alberts.
The durant field notes 37/52 show Eliza, age 23, living in Freesoil, Mason county, with husband John Peters (field notes 7/59), age 27. They have three children, Fred, age 4, James/Jean (male), age 2 and Frank born 14 Jun 1908.
No 1910 has been located. On 12 Sep 1918 John registers for the draft. He is living in Filer City, Manistee county.
In 1920 the John, 38 and Eliza, 35 are living in Filer township, Manistee county with children Fred, 15, Frank, 11, Willis, 8 and Chester 1 year 8 months. John and Fred work as laborers at a fiber mill.
Son Fred married Ella Miximong on 24 Aug 1926 in Cheboygan, Cheboygan county.
Ernest dies 21 Jul 1928 in Muskegon. His death states he was born 30 Jan 1920 in Manistee, days after the 1920 census.
Living in Muskegon in 1930 are John, 49, married at 23, Eliza E., 45, married at 18, Frank, 22, William, 19, Chester, 12, Celia, 7, Richard, 5 and Mary, 1. John, Frank and William work as laborers at the paper mill.
Son James23, wife Jennie C., 21 and brother Richard, 5, are living in Muskegon, Muskegon county in 1930. James is an oven tender at a foundry.
Tragedy strikes 18 Jan 1933. Eliza's son Frank and nephew Charles Skimhorn (son of sister Mary) drown in Pentwater Lake.
According to his death certificate, Frank was born on 24 Jun 1909 in Freesoil. (Durant field notes have him born 14 Jun 1908 which is more likely since he wouldn't be on the durant roll if born in 1909). Died 18 Jan 1933.
The 1940 census has John, 59, Eliza, 55, Chester, 23, Richard, 15 and Mary, 11 living in Manistee county. Chester is a laborer at a foundry, while there is no occupation given for John.
Son James, 33, wife Jennie 32, and his brother Chester, 22 are living in Meade township, Mason county. James and Chester are laborers doing forest work.
Son William, 28, a painter, is living in Petoskey, Emmet county with wife Rose, 25, daughters Rosemary, 7 and Lillian, 4, mother-in-law Agnes Miximong, 69, widowed and nephew Ailbers Peters, 5.

Buried in Woodmere cemetery in Detroit are Rose Peters, born 9 Feb 1916, died 27 Nov 1968 and husband William born 2 Jul 1911, died 10 Apr 1979. Website did not give source of obituaries.
