Elmer Shocko

 Elmer John Shocko was born 13 Nov 1920, the son of Joseph Shocko and Rose Allen. 


Elmer enlisted in the US Army on 11 Jun 1940. His headstone application gave his branch of service as Army, Company H, 160th Infantry. The army add Co. D, 373 rd PBTC (Port Battalion Transportation Corp)

Elmer was discharged from the Army on 9 Feb 1945, an entirely changed man.


Although he had already served, Elmer registered for the draft on 17 Feb 1945.
