Joseph Awanagima, 20, son of Joannes Mokatean and Maria Moksikwe, married Marianne Mijanniss, 15, daughter of Niganise and Ananndekwe on 8 Feb 1864 at the Catholic Church in Eagletown.
Wife Marianna was baptized the same day, 8 Feb 1864.

On 3 Jun 1881, Mary Ann M. Blackman sold to James Kaley, the SE1/4 of the NE1/4 of section 7, T30N R11W consisting of 40 acres for the sum of $200. The transaction was not recorded until 26 Aug 1882. Leelanau county land records vol. 13 page 16.

The link tells of the Smallpox epidemic that hit Peshawbestown. The disease killed nearly the entire family. Brother Francis Blackman wrote letters, pleading for help.

The record at the Catholic Church in Eagle Town/Peshawbestown adds Agnes' mother's surname Naganisee.
