The 1839 Annuity Roll has Mucca da we ninee - one man, one woman, six children, received $70.72 under Chief Ka qua to say. They were the Mis sig gom me go or Platte River band. Total at the time was 13 men, 11 women and 29 children = 53 people. This band was located in what is now Homestead township, Benzie county.
Son Joseph (O-wan-o-ge-maw) was born about 1844.

In the 1840s Ka qua to say's band purchased land in Leelanau county in what is present day Peshawbestown.
On 1 Feb 1848 Ma kee te nima and Ma ethi we ta purchased the NW1/4 of SE1/4 of section 3, T30N R11W, 40 acres. [This is probably son Paul Maw che we taw]
On 10 Sep 1849, Paul sold to John for $25 - 1/2 of N1/2 of NW1/4 of SE1/4 section 3 T30N R11W, 40 acres; and John sold to Paul for $25 - S1/2 of NW1/4 of NE1/4 section 3, T30N R11W, 40 acres.
Son Thomas was born about 1849.
Daughter Mary (#2) married Edward E taw waw caw me go prior to the birth of their son Lewis in 1850.
On 1 Nov 1853 Ma ke to ni ma purchased lot/tract 3 in section 2, T30N R11W, 61.5 acres

Paul married Agatha and was father of six children.He died 15 Jan 1894 in Suttons Bay.
Francis died 21 Jun 1893 in Suttons Bay
Joseph died 30 Nov 1881 in Bingham township of small pox [Information about the 1881 small pox epidemic is here.]

Thomas - nothing is known about him after 1860.
