On 20 Oct 1903 Joseph, son of Joseph Sampson and Philomene Wakaosse, married or published banns to be married to Philomen Medabus aka Medabi, age 14, daughter of Ignac Meoabis and Josephte Abitawinagoskam alias Ojawashkwagijigokwe. 

Wife Philomene died date unknown.

On 2 Mar 1909 in Wikwemikong, Ontario, Canada, Joseph, age 42,  married Henriette, age 15.

Daughter Rebecca was born 7 Nov 1913 at Sheshegwaning, Manitoulin, Ontario, Canada to Joseph Sampson and Henriette Wabigijig.  She was baptized 23 Nov 1913 [Records of Iles Manitoulin Mission]

Son Steven was born 20 May 1916

Henriette died 15 Mar 1919 at Manitoulin Island. Her age was given as 30, born at Sheshegwaning, daughter of Antoine Wabijijig. Cause given as convulsions following childbirth.
