"Anthony...went to bed early in the evening at the home of his parents in Northport, after being in bed a short time he got up and dressed telling his folks he could not sleep he left. He later joined Ben Sands, another Indian, and left Northport together to call on a friend in Agosa Town, Sands then left Paul to return alone, this was the last time he was seen alive."
" An examination of the highway showed that a car struck Paul and kept on without stopping or with-out attempt to set the brakes, according to Walter Steimel. The car, the sheriff believes was traveling toward Northport when it struck the Indian. A search is being made throughout the county for an auto-movile which shows a battered fender or blood spots.
